At 6 MONTHS: 2520 W. Jefferson Blvd.
(Between Arlington and Crenshaw) Los Angeles
Alex Segade and Malik Gaines, in cooperation with "6 Months,"
presented a monthly series of interactive staged-readings. Participants
came together on the second Monday of each month to act out selections
from theater works. These informal studies sought to apply pressure to
the aesthetic and political tensions built into the chosen texts. By mirroring
two pieces, the contrast lead to further understanding of the work. Performers
will include artists, academics and professional actors, as well as people
who just show up.
